Brittany Panzer isn’t your average college student. As an actress and model, her most recent job included a role in an episode of “Lucifer,” a Fox television series. With her popularity progressing on the television screen, Panzer knew she needed a flexible way to go school.

This December, Panzer is graduating from ASU with her Bachelor’s degree in film and media studies, a degree she pursued entirely through ASU Online.

“I needed to do school 100 percent online because of acting and modeling, and ASU is a great school with a wide range of degrees that can be completed online,” Panzer said.

Throughout her experience, Panzer was proactive when it came to emailing her instructors about having to submit assignments early or to receive an extension, due to her hectic shooting schedules. Panzer also confessed that she didn’t expect to love the required discussion posts as much as she did.

“Believe it or not, discussion boards helped change my perspective as to how people think,”  Panzer said. “They made me realize that answers — that I thought were obvious — weren’t obvious to others and vice versa.”

After graduation, Panzer plans to continue acting. You can catch her in an episode of “Dear White People” which comes out next year.
